First Art competition.

In January, I jumped into the fun world of art competitions at Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery. I wanted to meet other artists and share my love for art with more people. For this event, I chose my favorite piece, 'Call of the Stag'. This artwork is very special to me, showing my unique style with its bold brushstrokes that make both the background and the beautiful stag stand out. The touch of shimmering gold adds a magical feel, catching the light in a lovely way. The gallery displayed it perfectly, highlighting its beauty and attracting everyone's attention.

I participated with a friend, a fellow artist from my village. We were both shortlisted, which was incredible for us. On the presentation day, I attended with my artist friend and another close friend, who has been a great supporter of my art journey. The event was crowded, with over 200 artists shortlisted. Winning would have been fantastic, but for me, just having the chance to participate with a friend was a victory in itself. I didn't win, but I wasn't surprised. My painting is on display at Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery until March 25 and is available for purchase. A sale would be the cherry on top, but only time will tell.
